Henri Peteri, founder of Quooker, had a life-changing idea during a presentation on instant soup while working at Unilever in Rotterdam. Seeing how soup could dissolve in boiling water in just five seconds, the inventor identified a need for boiling water on demand. “Why doesn’t boiled water come out of the mixer tap in our homes?” thought Peteri.

The inventor designed a working prototype, and the first Quooker tap (‘Quick Cooker’) was introduced in 1992. With the arrival of the boiling water tap, customers could enjoy 100⁰C water in the blink of an eye. Since then, Quooker has grown into an international company. Today, millions of people worldwide use Quooker products in their kitchens.
